We are pleased to inform you that the Comptroller Contract on SBM V1 will undergo an upgrade on July 12, 2026(SGT). As JustLend DAO continues to expand and integrate more markets, strengthening the protocol's capacity to reliably execute core functions during extreme stress events has become essential. Consequently, JustLend DAO has decided to upgrade the Comptroller contract to enhance system stability and improve the overall user experience.

Protocol Resilience Under Extreme Conditions: Strengthening the protocol's ability to handle peak stress, ensuring SBM V1 remains robust during periods of high market volatility and surging on-chain activity.
Scalable Architecture: Refactoring the underlying contract structure to support horizontal scaling, which enables smoother onboarding of new asset markets without introducing systemic fragility.
Agile Risk Parameter Response: Introducing a more responsive risk management framework that allows the protocol to adapt to rapidly changing market conditions without compromising the decentralized governance principles that define SBM V1.
As JustLend has granted the right of governance to the community, the upgrading of any contract needs to be decided by the community through voting. The proposal on upgrading the Comptroller for SBM V1 has been officially passed. Please refer to the JustLend Proposals for more details.
